ROOTBOUND has a 15-song CD available. For more information, CLICK HERE

ROOTBOUND was a duo that took the traditional sounds of Appalachian old-time, bluegrass, and early country music and brought them into the present. Paying loving tribute to the duet sounds of such seminal groups as the Louvin Brothers and the Stanley Brothers and the wide-ranging repertoire of the Carter Family, singer/guitarist Debbi Kauffmann and mandolinist/guitarist/singer Henry Koretzky infused the classic repertoire with new material drawn from contemporary songwriters.

While no longer performing together, Debbi and Henry are still taking their music to new audiences who appreciate ROOTBOUND's eclectic mix of tradition with innovation. Debbi Kauffmann tours with Ginny Hawker & Tracy Schwarz  as well as teaching classes at Augusta Heritage Center at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, WV.  Henry performs with a wide variety of roots-based groups in a broad range of styles, as well as being a regular auxiliary faculty member at Folk College and Greenwood Furnace Folk Gathering and teaching private mandolin and guitar students.
